LAHORE: The Lahore administration has imposed ‘no helmet, no petrol’ ban to ensure the safety of the motorcyclists, ARY News reported on Thursday. The Lahore administration notified the imposition of a ban on selling petrol to motorcyclists who are not wearing helmets. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore said that petrol will not be sold to motorcyclists without helmets. The DC Lahore said that hundreds of citizens got seriously injured in road accidents for not using helmets. Yesterday, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Mustansar Feroze announced that the entry of motorcyclists without helmets was banned on all roads. He said that actions were taken against 810,000 motorcyclists without helmets in six months. Disney star and singer Coco Lee dies at 48 after suicide attempt

Hong Kong-born American singer Coco Lee died at 48 on Wednesday following a suicide attempt that left her in a coma, Lee’s two sisters, Carol and Nancy Lee, said in a statement posted on Instagram and Facebook. In a shocking incident, a 57-year-old woman died while hiking at Grand Canyon National Park in triple-digit heat.  The unfortunate incident happened in the US where the woman went for a an eight-mile hike when the temperature was well over 100 degrees. A pilot was killed Sunday when a Russian-made fighter jet crashed in a mountainous area in northern Venezuela during practice exercises ahead of a parade to mark the country’s independence, President Nicolas Maduro said. “I regret to inform that during the practice manoeuvres … an aircraft of our Bolivarian Military Aviation fell to the ground, causing the physical loss of the distinguished pilot Col. ABIDJAN: A six-storey building collapsed while under construction in Ivory Coast’s commercial capital Abidjan on Friday, killing at least seven of the builders on site, firefighters at the scene said.
